To our audience,
Radio UTD stands with the Black community in their stand against systemic racism. The music industry as a whole wouldn’t be what it is without the contributions of Black musicians, therefore it is our duty to amplify Black voices with the platform that we have.
While DJs have been advocating for these issues on an individual level, Radio UTD as an organization has compiled a list of local and national resources such as racial justice organizations and Black-owned businesses into a comprehensive guide on our website. We encourage our listeners to educate themselves on these issues, donate, and continue to advocate for Black voices now and in the future. If you have any suggestions of organizations or businesses you want to highlight, shoot us an email.
We understand that this is an ongoing issue that will not end when the hashtags stop trending. When we return to programming in the fall, we will continue to be conscious to make Radio UTD a more inclusive space for musicians, our DJs, and our listeners. We will continue to strive for diversity in the music that we play and the community that we build in our organization.
Love,
Radio UTD Management
