Sure, most pop artists have upbeat songs with catchy lyrics – that’s, like, what defines the genre. But few are able to bring as much energy to their performances as Dallas artist Xuan (pronounced Swan). She was a ball of energy and fun when she came to our studio, cracking jokes and making fast friends with our promotions assistant who also had a shaved head. It didn’t stop when the music started. She took control of the room, claiming the studio for her dance floor and gave one of the most exciting performances we’ve seen. If I didn’t have to hold my camera steady, I would have jumped right in with her.
