Formed from six of DFW’s most talented country musicians, Vandoliers is distinctly Texan, from the yellow rose tattoo on lead Joshua Fleming’s hand to the Tejano-influenced riffs on their first song. Mentored by Dallas’ Old 97’s, they follow in the tradition of Outlaw Country but add their own flare to the genre with their imposing on-stage size and talented songwriting that could hold its own against the classics. They stripped down to a trio for us to showcase this songwriting, though they lost none of their imposing presence with the trumpet in the echoey halls of ATEC.
