What’s the most fashionable organization on campus? We at Radio UTD vote for ourselves. Every time our DJs get together, whether for Radio events or for our monthly meetings or even just hanging out in the Student Media Suite, you’ll find a collage of colors and shades of grey and thrift store finds and band shirts, and, most of all, a spectrum of style mirroring our diverse programming schedule. To convince you that we’re a fashionable, or at least stylistically unique, here’s a small selection of DJs and their favorite outfits for hanging around the station and going to concerts.

Alex – Lunar Drive-In

Station:

  • Black and white aesthetic like those old classic movies
  • Cool shirt design disguises the geeky Star Wars print

Concert:

  • The burgundy color of the pants compliments the blue denim of the shirt
  • The shirt is comfortable in different temperatures
  • The pants look trendy but they’re also quite flexible and allow for lots of movement

Benji – The Pickup

Both Station and Concert

  • Ride or die black jacket is lightweight and comfortable but also protective
  • Band shirt and jeans is the default base layer of clothes
  • Overall Pseudo Punk aesthetic

Katelyn – Pop 4 Sadgurls

Station:

  • Mossimo velvet and cord leggings
  • Stole shirt from a hot person so that’s why it looks so good
  • Cheerleader shoes put a pep in your step

Concert:

  • Plano Family Thrift is the go-to store
  • Her dad’s socks complete the look

Kolton – Arcade Stereo

Station:

  • Comfortable clothes
  • That’s about it

Concert:

  • Likes to go hard, so tank top gives him maximum movement
  • Flannel for keeping warm after a show
  • Broken in shoes keep feet supported

Molly – Folk Ain’t a Joke

Station:

  • 100% Certified Folk aesthetic
  • Classic Clarks Desert Boots or other statement shoe
  • Signature hat found in the Dublin airport

Concert:

  • Comfortable shoes for standing around for hours
  • Statement jacket with hand-sewn patches
  • Band shirt (default is Avett Brothers)

Savannah – The Monolith

Station:

  • Comfy Drone aesthetic
  • Sunn shirt is too big but it doesn’t matter because she’s got to have as many Sunn shirts as possible
  • Uses sock glue to keep socks up

Concert:

  • Health Goth aesthetic
  • Found mesh shirt at thrift store and it’s the trendiest thing she owns

 

Sheina – Like the Beatnix

Concert:

  • Cas and Comfy romper
  • Tights class it up
  • Shoes look dressy but don’t hurt her feet
